This lesson builds oral vocabulary and phonological awareness by separating words in sentences. In 24 pages, the child will
• preview four color words: black, white, brown, and orange,
• separate the words in simple sentences by clapping,
• review key vocabulary, and
• trace the first letter of each color word.
The activities are aligned to the following standards:

This prereading pack is the second lesson of Book 1
