September 11. Patriot Day activity for September 11th. A kid-friendly informational text reading passage of the events of 9-11 with comprehension questions, and a flag coloring sheet. Includes original photos of the fire department memorial at Ground Zero (taken by me on a visit to NYC) Students can read the story, or have it read to them, and look at the photos.(Can be projected for the whole class to see.) Then they can answer the comprehension sheet and write an acrostic poem for Patriot's Day.
