Students learn about, or review, the events of the September 11, 2001 (9/11) terrorist attacks with these 3 activities. The first activity has students read 3 brief paragraphs on 9/11, answer 5 discussion questions, and then identify which of 15 statements refer to life before or after 9/11 (it is UPDATED to include the actual memories of a NYC high school senior on 9/11). The music webquest has students answer 11 questions about 8 songs of a variety of points of view and emotions about 9/11. Answers are provided where appropriate. The traditional webquest has students visit 1 website and answer 8 questions of varying degrees of difficulty. They then answer 5 large discussion questions, and time/technology permitting, they listen to audio clips from a variety of perspectives and positions from 9/11 and respond to 5 reflection prompts. See the preview for sample questions.
