This is a 6-page assignment (3 pages if you do front and back) with 5 parts. I have used this with High School and Middle School students and it seemed to work well with their level. The middle school may struggle a bit with the reading, some of the passages are at a higher level.
Here are the parts to the assignment:
Part A: Read a short passage about the September 11th and answer 3 questions.
Part B: Analyze 3 pictures form the September 11th and answer the 3 questions that go along with the photos.
Part C: Read a personal story from a person who worked by the World Trade Center answer 2 questions.
Part D: Complete a flow map (there are 6 boxes for them to fill in) of the events from September 11th. There is a timeline provided to help students with the different events from the day of September 11, 2001
Part E: Read the speech given by President George Bush on the evening of September 11th and answer 3 questions.
