Why should paper chains be just for Christmas? Spice up your September with this
paper chain that features a fun fact for each day of the month and a coordinating
quick activity for your class to do.
Make one chain for your class, allowing each student to take a turn removing one link per day throughout the month, or have each student make a chain of his/her own, removing each day’s link together.
You choose whether to print the chain’s links in full color, or in black-and-white for your students to color and decorate (both options are provided). Also included are instructions, a “Tale of a Book” book review page, an optional coloring page, a themed open worksheet and some great September clip art!
For each day of September, students will tear off one link, read the day’s fact, and follow the activity instructions for the day—mini-research projects, books to read, music to listen to, or other activities to painlessly increase their general knowledge. A master list of activities is provided for you with suggestions for minimal preparation when needed.
