This Scratch lesson plan is for upper elementary and middle schools students to create a Falling Apples Game. By the end of this lesson, each student or partner group will have created a game where a character falls(apples) and a character (person) tries to catch it.
This lesson is best taught in 1 lesson. Perfect for the Hour of Code Week! Prior to teaching this lesson, a basic familiarity of scratch is encouraged, but not necessary. This lesson could be used to incorporate STEM or in a technology/computer lab. We used these lessons after Hour of Code week in my computer class. This program will not work with the Scratch, Jr iPad app.
