Scavenger (Treasure) Hunts promote cooperative learning and engagement by pupils working in pairs to find the correct answer.
It can be used as the main lesson activity to determine what learning has taken place and also it is a great revision exercise.
This Treasure Hunt has three different Treasure Hunts of increasing difficulty identified by different colors; yellow, amber and green.
Yellow; requires pupils to find the Nth Term of arithmetic linear sequences and find a term given the Nth term.
Amber; This involves arithmetic and quadratic (non-linear) sequences.
Green; Like the amber route but now involves two questions requiring pupils to determine if a term is part of the sequence (can be solved using an equation).
It comes complete with instructions, solutions and a basic record sheet if pupils need more structure to recording their questions and answers.
