Product Description
Sequencing is an important strategy for students in reading and writing. The ability to tell or retell events in a specific order contributes to comprehension. These mayteacherdeals sequencing resources can be used on their own or as follow-up activity to a story you have read.

Some of these sequencing pages are included in my monthly writing stations.

This download currently includes 30 sequencing sets (picture cards, word list, and printable). Additional sets may be added in the future.

The picture cards can be used as a poster to guide students or you can cut apart the cards for students to sequence.

The word lists act as a cheat sheet for students to reference while writing. Each list includes 6 pictures and words relevant to the topic.

The printable requires students to cut and paste the pictures in the correct order. After they complete that step, there are lines for them to write their how-to. Towards the beginning of the file you will find a blank lined writing paper. You can run these on the back of the cut and paste printable or provide them separately for students that may need more room for their writing.

This resource comes in a ZIP file with two PDFs. The only difference between the PDFs are the type of writing lines on the printables. One set features handwriting lines for younger students and the other is simply lined. Use the set that works best for your students. This activity can be simple or complex as needed for your instructional goals.
