Description
Many of my older students have mastered simple 3 step sequences, but continue to struggle with more complex series and comprehension questions about these short stories. These mini-books will give you lots of options for addressing this common goal at a variety of abilities.
All levels include six part stories.
Level 1: black & white mini-books contain both pictures and text with four comprehension/inference questions at the conclusion.
Level 2 (all, but one story has two level 2 options): color mini-book; contains text but the student cuts, arranges and pastes pictures in the book. This book also contains four comprehension/inference questions at the conclusion. One version specifically uses "first, second, third, etc."
Level 3: color mini-book; student cuts, arranges and pastes pictures in the book and then adds accompanying text. This book ends with four open-ended questions that are not dependent on the child’s story.
Books are easily folded from a single sheet of paper (great fine motor practice!)
Stories include: Camping Trip, Violet Loves to Ride, Firefighter Rescue, Time for a Haircut, Surprise Party, A Letter from Jason, A Trip to the Movies, Out at a Restaurant, At a Friend’s House
Also available (for 3 step sequencing):
Sequencing Mini-books BUNDLE
Sequencing Mini-books for Spring/Summer
Sequencing Mini-books for Fall/Winter
Sequencing Mini-books for Everyday Themes
