This worksheet is great to go along with your months of the year unit, or as a follow up activity for Diary of a Worm, by Doreen Cronin.
I used this book with my Kindergartners (there is a read aloud version on Tumblebooks if this is something you or your district has access to. We listened to the story, and then brainstormed events that happened in the story. We talked about how we could get the events in the correct order.
I shared that the author wrote this book as a diary, so there are dates on each of the pages. We looked at a few of the pages and saw that they were in order by month. I copied a few of the pages (my favorite parts) and was sharing them with the kids when I accidently "dropped" a few pages, and then asked them for help in putting them back in order.
When we were finished, I handed out this activity and directed them to cut out the events at the bottom, and then asked them to glue the story events in order by looking at the months.
This could be done as a whole group activity, with a partner, or independently, depending on the level of your students.
