There are two versions of the Sequencing Sort included in this Google Drive edition. Both versions include moveable pieces labeled 1st, 2nd and 3rd for students to order the pictures into the correct sequence of events. Each version includes 26 slides, labeled A-Z for your convenience. It may be a lot to have students complete all 26 slides at one time so you may want to break them up into lessons (i.e. A-G, H-M, N-S, and T-Z).
In version 1, the sentences are provided for students to rearrange into the correct order. Note that some pictures could make logical sense in different orders so if students struggle to find the correct order, they should read the sentences and put them in order first. An answer key is included for version 1.
In version 2, students type their own sentences (students must be able to type proficiently). If your students are not proficient at typing yet and you’d like to use this version to work on writing skills, have them write their sentences on a piece of paper instead. Note that there may be multiple correct answers as long as students can write a logical sequence of events (i.e. First you find an empty jar, next you fill it with jelly beans vs. first you find a full jar of jelly beans, next you eat some, etc.)
Have students write stories to go along with the pictures.
