Sequencing using the book “The Biggest Snowman Ever”© by Stephen Kroll is fun and novel with this build a snowman project. Start by reading the book to your students and discuss the order of events. Next, give students the shapes (which you need to copy), and have them color and cut per your directions. Then, they build the biggest snowman by putting the facts in the correct space and order. Shapes help lower students get started, but the words on so many similar shapes add the challenge. When finished, you have a cute snowman to display or for students to take home and retell the story.
