This lesson uses the acronym STOP the ELF to help students know when to use SER or ESTAR. The PowerPoint contains notes and examples for practice, and goes along with the worksheet provided. In the practice sections, students must not only conjugate the verbs but also give their reasoning.
Included is also a hook activity to do prior to the notes, in which students must sort sentences based on which verb they think should be included. The hook activity is a great way to see which students have already picked up on the concept and which students need some help.
