Series Circuit, Parallel Circuit, and Combination Circuit Lesson and Activities for Middle School Students Using Snap Circuit Kits!
*Note: Lesson will only be applicable if you have Snap Circuit Kits available for students to use and practice with.
(However, there are other TPT resources out there from other stores you can use and purchase such as cut out schematic symbols that could possibly work just as well but would not be the same as actually having Snap Circuit Kits to build the three circuit types)
This activity has links provided in a Google Drive folder that contains a paced out lesson lasting 2-3 class periods that will introduce middle school students to:
- Circuit Diagrams
- Schematic Symbols
- Comparing and Contrasting Series, Parallel and Combination Circuits
- How to build each circuit type using Snap Circuit Kits
- Science Notebook pages you can use to help students test out circuit types
All links are provided in the Word docx file hyperlinked.
You are able to make a copy of any of the resources and edit them to make them your own.
Students are able to either use the Google Docs electronically by making a copy and typing into them to submit work to you or you can print them out and have them use hard copies. (Either in science notebooks or worksheets).
Thanks for choosing Middle School Scientists at Work!
