Set of 4 Dolch Sight Word Games
PUPPY WORDS - LEVEL 1
KITTEN WORDS - LEVEL 2
MONKEY WORDS - LEVEL 3
ZEBRA WORDS - LEVEL 4

These are fun sight word games lovingly designed by me for use in your classroom or home.

The aim of the games is to reinforce the first 80 Dolch Sight Words :
PUPPY WORDS: the, to, and, he, a, I, you, it, of, in, was, said, his, that, she, for, on, they, but, had.
KITTEN WORDS: at, him, up, with, all, look, is, her, there, some, out, as, be, have, go, we, am, then, little, down
MONKEY WORDS: do, can, could, when, did, what, so, see, not, were, get, them, line, one, this, my, would, me, will, yes
ZEBRA WORDS: big, went, are, come, if, now, long, no, came, ask, very, an, over, your, its, ride, into, just, blue, red

They are ideal small group activities for children aged 4-8.

EACH of the 4 games is a file consisting of 9 printable pages including 40 sight word cards (3x2in), 5 "bone/mouse/banana or grass" cards, 6 "kennel/tree/jungle or zoo" cards, easy-to-follow game instructions, a matching background image to print on the back of the sight word game cards and complete instructions and hints for you to make the game.

Many students do not need extra practise with sight words, as they learn them by reading them repeatedly in context. The learning of sight words in isolation does not make a "reader." Sometimes a student can read the words from a list and then not recognize the same word in a book or story. Having said that, please consider my sight words games to be a supplement to a strong balanced reading program. The fun sight word activities I offer can certainly help to boost a child's motivation and confidence in both Reading and Writing.

A file containing the list of the 220 Dolch Sight Words is also included in this download.

I hope you enjoy my SIGHT WORD GAMES.
