This is the first set in a series of almost 100 that I have developed to teach reading fluency to students who struggle with sight word recognition and decoding. Each set will include a list of words from a particular word family, a list of 5-6 sight words, sentence reading with the above words, as well as a fluency pyramid. Follow each page to teach the words to the students. Repeat daily or as often as possible till they know how to read it well. Each additional set is carefully designed so that the difficulty level increases steadily but slowly. Only the words from the current and previous sets are used in each set so that learners feel safe and successful. You can keep each set in a binder for each student and add more sets with time. You can also use the sets for partner work and send the binder home for more practice. It has done miracles for my students in regular and special education as well as English language learners.
