Looking for a great Springtime activity for your music or elementary classroom?
A listening glyph is a picture that requires students to make creative decisions based on what they hear. The magic in the listening glyph is that you can use this activity as part of a larger unit, or as a stand alone activity with a substitute. All you need is a song, or perhaps several if you're looking to assess your students using multiple genres of music. Directions are simple and can be used with any elementary grade K-5. For older grades, challenge them to fill in appropriate music vocabulary as well as color based on what they hear!
Happy Music Making!!!
