This presentation covers setting up a basic document in MLA Format. The presentation walks students through setting up the word processing document to meet MLA requirements. This presentation goes along perfectly with my assignment entitled MLA: Creating a MLA Template. Check out my store for a preview of it as well!
This presentation only covers setting up a basic document in MLA Format. It does not cover all of MLA Formatting because I teach it in three different segments. Learning MLA is extremely frustrating and overwhelming to students, I've noticed. Therefore, several years ago, I broke MLA down into three parts: (1) setting up a basic document, (2) using parenthetical citations, integrating quotes, and paraphrasing, and (3) creating a works cited page. I've found that not only do my students understand it better now that they digest MLA in smaller parts, but also they do not seem as overwhelmed and confused. This presentation is the first in the series of three I use in my classroom. See my store for the other two!
Please keep checking my store, as I am getting all of my MLA presentations, quizzes, tests, handouts, worksheets, etc. ready to post.
