This setting and character freebie was created to use with the book Skippyjon Jones by Judy Schachner.
After reading the book the students will need to decide where the story is centered. Once they have decided that they will then look at how the author described the setting and how the illustrator drew the setting. Based on their findings they will write who did a better job describing the setting.
The students will then try to describe the character based on the setting descriptions, for example in his room there are crayon drawings on the walls...he could be described as naughty.
