Students will analyze the elements of a story in the movie Wreck-It Ralph with a special emphasis on how the setting affects a story’s characters and plot. Students will also analyze Ralph’s interactions with other characters and his development throughout the story to determine its theme.
The PowerPoint lesson is divided into 5 sections:

5) Final Project
Option 1: The PowerPoint Lesson can be used to double check students’ work and delve more deeply into the material after they complete the worksheets on their own.
Option 2: The worksheets can be used as a comprehension check and review of the material introduced in the PowerPoint lesson.
The final project asks students to create their own video arcade game setting and introduce it to visitors with either a tourist map or a brochure before rewriting the scene where Ralph gets his medal in the new video game setting they’ve created.
