It has been so hard for me to find resources to teach North Carolina history. These products are a result of that search. In this lesson students learn about the earliest settlements of each region of North Carolina. They follow a Three Close Reads protocol to read the information as well as fill in a folded graphic organizer and then create a mini poster with what they learned. Finally, students will participate in a gallery walk in which they read their classmate's work and write it down. I've tried to keep this as low on paper as I could.
Includes: lesson slides for presentation, 3 reading sheets (one page each), clipart for folded graphic organizer
