My kiddos absolutely LOVE making this flip the flap “I’ve Got Your Number!” Seuss hat booklet.
I like it because it’s easy-peasy for me, and a super-fun “craftivity” that helps review quite a few math standards.
The booklet flips from left to right, and then again, with another section, from right to left, to show a group/set of apples.
I chose apples as the object because of Seuss’s story: 10 Apples Up On Top
You don’t have to add that extra flap to make it simpler for PK kiddos, but it’s really not hard at all, and provides great fine motor cutting practice.
There's also a pattern without the clock strips for younger children.
I've included teacher templates, to expedite making a sample to share with your students.
I’m Diane from Teach With Me, wishing you a “fun-tastic” March is Reading Month.
