We've all dreamed of seeing the 7 Wonders of the World. Walking along the Great Wall...gazing at the Great Pyramid of Giza...hiking to Machu Picchu...roaming the inside of the Roman Coliseum. Most of us will never see them all. But, we've all seen something wondrous. Use your imagination. Make a list. Picture the places and things that you have seen.
Now, picture yourself in the shoes of your students. Many come from different cultures and have seen many things that they consider wondrous. Here is an opportunity for them to express themselves and share their experiences in a non-threatening way. By using technology, they can compile superb presentations of the wonders of their worlds. Consider the added benefits of getting to know your students even better!
There are numerous ways to consider using this 16 slide Power Point, but you may have partners having conversations with each other to get started. I have included a rubric along with my seven wonders just to get your creative juices flowing. Who knows? You may discover a new favorite vacation spot?
Now included: Storyboard to help keep everyone on task and to assist them in providing consistent information.
