Using Project Based Learning in the classroom makes learning fun, authentic, and connected to real-world experiences. In this severe weather unit, students will research a type of severe weather (hurricane, tornado, flood, blizzard, or thunderstorm) and then create their very own nonfiction book to showcase their knowledge. They will finish the unit with their own book that they can show others to teach them about severe weather. This unit is a wonderful way to integrate reading, writing, and science all while engaging students and providing deep learning experiences!
