The Complete Differences Between Men and Women Unit contains 3 Lessons and a variety of supplemental materials. All lessons meet the National Health Standard and have clearly defined Daily Learning Targets/Objectives. Each lesson can be used for grades 7-12 and Homeschoolers. The Unit is designed to take 3 days to complete (Classes are 55 minutes). The unit includes 3 Lesson Plans, Student Worksheets, Teacher Answers, and teacher and student resources.
Lesson Plan 1 -- How words have different meanings which affect:
• Our likes and dislikes
• Our perceptions of each other
The Learning Targets in Lesson 1 include:
Students will learn some of the differences between men and women.
Students will learn this by participating in 3 different activities.
Students will be assessed by their participation.
Lesson Plan 2 -- How men and women view relationships
The Learning Targets in Lesson 2 include:
Students will learn about the difference between how men and women view relationships.
The students will learn this by answering a series of questions about men and women.
The students will be assessed by their concluding paragraph.
Lesson Plan 3 -- How men and women give up selfish demands and become friends in the process — a unique take to “Green Eggs and Ham”
The Learning Targets in Lesson 3 include:
Students will learn some differences between men and women.
Students will learn this by analyzing a short story entitled I Do Not Wish to Be Your Friend (which uses the same rhythm and rhyme as Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss).
Students will be assessed by their solution to the problem (using the same rhythm and rhyme of the story) of how men and women can give up their selfish demands and become friends in the process.
This is a tongue-in-cheek look at the differences between men and women. Are men and women different, let me count the ways.
