Second in the Pocket History animated video series. The incredible survival story of Ernest Shackleton and his 27 crew stranded on the Antarctic ice for 2 years after the crushing of their ship, Endurance. This video is based on journals from the expedition written at the time the vessel was abandoned, and takes the form of four diary entries outlining life in the Antarctic and being set adrift on the ice. It is intended for social studies classes and is meant to supplement the reading of a book about the heroic adventure.

1. A task sheet (pdf) for the movie containing several types of listening and word quizzes about the events leading up to the destruction of the Endurance. There are also reading and writing expansion exercises.
2. A teacher resource sheet with answers to the task sheet questions. For those that need it there is a link to an online HD version of the movie along with the password necessary to view it.
