Shades of Meaning Cut and Paste!

These are 40 pages of verbs, adjectives, and nouns to cut, paste, sort and write for learning shades of meaning.

Students are asked to cut and paste the words and rank them in order from weakest to strongest. There's an extra word that doesn't belong too. Next, students are asked to write a sentence for each word pasted.

This packet is aligned to the following common core standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.1.5.DDistinguish shades of meaning among verbs differing in manner (e.g., look, peek, glance, stare, glare, scowl) and adjectives differing in intensity (e.g., large, gigantic) by defining or choosing them or by acting out the meanings.
