Students learn about shades of meanings by arranging the words from weakest to strongest. My students love working on shades of meaning. I created this center to further their learning and enjoyment. It is also a great way for students to study synonyms. (Shades of meaning distinguish, or tell the difference between similar words.)
Included: 60 + Sorting Printables
Shades of Meaning: Weak to Strong Card Set (207 Cards)
Shades of Meaning: Sort Card Mat (Color and B & W)
Shades of Meaning: Center Posters (Center Directions, Objectives, Kid Center Sample)

Students are required to sort the word and then apply the words from their map sequence in a sentence to demonstrate their understanding of the different meanings.
Perfect for grades 2-5 (common core aligned) Higher achieving 1st graders may also benefit from this center.
