PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This PowerPoint outlines the sequence of events in England that ultimately led to Shakespeare's ability to be so successful. It outlines the rule of King Henry VIII as well as focuses on his many wives and two of his three children. Ultimately, the PowerPoint discusses Queen Elizabeth I's enabling of the arts across her country and allowing Shakespeare to flourish.

This PowerPoint includes a link to an interactive website, which walks its viewers through the different facets of the Globe Theatre as well as touches upon Romeo and Juliet and the idea that Romeo and Juliet is a Shakespearean Tragedy. Despite this focus, the PowerPoint can easily be used to introduce any one of Shakespeare's plays.

(This PowerPoint is posted as a PDF to make the images more easily transferred to other programs, such as Keynote. Just take a screen shot of the images and past it into your program!)
