Who says Shakespeare is just for high school? Kids of all ages can truly enjoy and appreciate Shakespeare. Especially if they not only read his works, but “experience” it. Who was he? What was it like to live during Shakespeare’s time? This unit not only has an edited version of a Midsummer Night’s Dream but also gives the students a personal and historical perspective on Shakespeare and the Elizabethan time period through a series of group activities. These activities involve: research, technology, and creativity. I have used this unit for 10 years, every year I get rave reviews for parents and students.
