Product Description
Looking for a way to make Shakespeare's plays come alive in your classroom? Wanting to actually engage your students and get them excited to study Shakespeare?

Try using Twitter to help students better understand the play and have fun at the same time. This activity will take you through why twitter is an amazing platform to teach Shakespeare. Including student examples, rubrics and how to set up twitter accounts as well. this lesson plan will walk you through all of the steps to create a meaningful activity for your students.

What is the value of re-imagining a text in this way? Students must have an understanding of characters theme and language in order for their tweets to make sense. They will also need to understand the plot and events and translate them in a concise 140 character format. Students are not also bound by language as they can use media such as pictures and links to show what their character is thinking and feeling.

Try something new and fun for your students while still incorporating English classics.

Included:
-A step by step guide on how to sign up to twitter
-Separate student and teacher instructions
-Activity rationale
-Student examples
-Comprehensive rubric
