Help your students understand elements of figurative language with this set of 36 task cards. Each card features a passage from a Shakespearean play, along with a prompt asking students to identify and/or explain the device's function. Students do not need to have read the plays to use the cards.
A recording sheet and an answer key are included. These cards work well as a paired, partnered, or group activity. You can use them as bell-ringers, quizzes, or even exit slips. Print, cut, and laminate the cards to make them last longer.
