Tillyard's Elizabethan World Picture, students will be able to achieve a greater understanding of Macbeth and other Elizabethan texts. Students will be able to apply important terms and themes such as the great chain of being, the order of correspondences, chaos and cosmos. The information given will act as a direct entry point to the play as it will give students the rhetoric needed to fully comprehend and discuss Shakespearean drama.
