Product Description
This is not only fun, but an incredibly successful way of preparing students for the Shakespearen Modern English. The kids have a good time reciting Yoda's (from Star Wars) lines in his voice. The student translate his speech and come up with an understanding about what he is trying to say to Luke Skywalker. On a side note, the students will be able to see some of the Yodish way of speaking in some of Shakespeare's lines too. On the second page of the packet, the students translate a section of Romeo and Juliet to compare and connect the concept of language choice and use in a text. You could easily watch a little of this Star Wars scene from The Empire Strikes Back for fun at the end of the lesson.
