Too much praise can be worse than too little or so this sonnet would seem to be arguing. It is this paralleling of opposites where we see Shakespeare at his best. Such a contrast is also complemented by his craftsmanship where he utilizes poetic form, rhyme and imagery to make his point. These notions are explored in the workbook and through the reading of the sonnet and, as such, these activities supplement and complement the strategies taken in class and tutorials.
