Have students tweet about the events in any of the Shakespeare plays you read. Specific requirements and directions are posted which can be easily tweaked to go with any of the plays.
I used this in lieu of study guides with my 8th graders. The students did a great job tweeting about the events in each act and adding fun hash tags. They had to also respond to the tweets which forced them to revisit the page and read through the events/tweets. The quiz scores at the end of the unit were actually higher! They had fun and learned a lot.
The platform I used that I felt made the most sense was my website. Students posted comments to the blog post. Visit: http://blogs.socsd.org/kduroy/
and look for the tweets on the homepage to the right. One year I had students post the tweets to a classroom twitter board but we ran out of room so quickly that I felt an online platform was best!
