This PDF file is a review I use before assessing Shakespeare's "Hamlet" Acts 1-3. It is setup with 35 description-clues given on characters, events, and settings. Each clue can have numerous answers which really makes students think.
After reading and discussing the first three acts of "Hamlet", I review with my class using this identification-style study guide. I give them about 20 minutes to fill in the blanks, and then we go over the answers. This could easily be used for homework as well. This is a great comprehension review that covers all the little details from Acts 1-3 needed to be understood to be successful on the test.
Used with 10th grade Pre-AP English but would be great for 11th or 12th grade as well.
