This is one week's worth of in-depth lesson planning. These lesson plans focus on Antony's speech following Brutus' address to the citizens after Caesar's death. Students are then prompted to craft their own letter or speech addressed to Caesar effectively warning him of dangers lurking at the Capitol on the Ides of March. 10th Grade ELA Common Core standards are addressed in ways that promote critical thinking, text-to-life meaning, vocabulary development, and investigative analysis into especially characterization, author's purpose, themes, and symbolism.
This bundle deal includes heaps of original activities, quizzes, tests, reviews, and projects that students will remember for a lifetime. Text-to-world connections are at the forefront of these meaningful, truly educational, life-long lessons. Overall, these plans are a small taste of the complete recipe that resulted in remarkable improvement in my class throughout the year, and I encourage others to explore the ideas found in them for the sake of helping our students to become the best people possible for our future.
