PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This engaging lesson demystifies Shakespeare's sonnets for students. My first page is an easy guide to the sonnet - what it looks like and how Shakespeare builds an argument within it. You then have Shakespeare's delightful and easy Sonnet 130 ("My Mistress' Eyes) to work with on the second page. Students learn to scan the poem and how the argument builds. The third page is the extension activity. Students go home and choose one of Shakespeare's other sonnets to work with. They will scan it, annotate it, and present it to the class.
