This activity was originally designed for use before students read William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, although it can certainly be used at any point throughout a unit on this play or one of his other works.
Students should complete this in pairs or small groups as there are 13 topics to choose from (can be done individually if you have a small class). Each pair will select (or be assigned) one topic to research so that they can provide information and context to the class.
Examples of topics: marriage, burial customs, the theater.
The slides include a blank slide for each topic, and the best part is that SOURCES are included in the speaker's notes underneath each slide, making this a great way to scaffold your students into research.
