I suggest these cards be laminated and used with a dry-erase marker, but feel free to use them with pencil also. Two options are included for this activity for differentiation: either write the consonant digraph OR complete the word given the digraph.

-“Chocolate Milk” Digraph Poster for each of the 6 digraphs –
This makes a great visual to explain that just as a digraph is a new sound with 2 letters, chocolate milk is a new drink with 2 ingredients.

-“Meet My Friend...” poster for each of the
6 digraphs & Decodable worksheet for student use

-6 Flashcards with Pictures for each of the 6 digraphs
(some include beginning, middle, and/or ending digraphs)

-Word Bank

-Record Sheet of “Words I Know” for each digraph
(2 options: in a picture or on numbered lines)

-Make a Sentence/Draw a Picture Sheet

-Colored Consonant Digraph Sorting Mat
This may be used with the proceeding two activities.
There is an “identify the digraph” activity and a “real vs.
nonsense word” activity. Both activities come with a recording
sheet if you would like to have students cut, sort, & paste
them onto a sheet. Otherwise, laminate the cards & use the mat.

-Match Sort Activity
This may be used in two ways also. If you laminate the cards, students can simply match the digraph + picture card with the corresponding word card OR they can cut, sort, and paste them on the recording sheet.
