~2D Shape Bingo~
This fun and interactive game will give your students a chance to explore their skills with two dimensional shape identification. This bingo game is simple. It includes three different templates depicting different *COLORED* 2d shapes (three different templates, but all are winners!). Shapes include: triangles, rectangles, hexagons, circls, and squares. Children are to listen to oral directions and find the correct shape when called out by the teacher. The student then places a space marker (block, coin, bean, anything) on the spot. The first student to fill their card is the winner. As stated above, although cards are different, they are all winner cards, so all children will win and experience identifying all shapes. This file also contains two different independent learning activities. One is a Roll and Record shape graph. Students roll a block or die depicting the different 2d shapes (these shapes are included and can be taped on a dice or a square cube block). They then color in the shape and continue until one shape reaches the top! The second independent activity is a 2d shape monster that students can create using attribute blocks FROM YOUR CLASSROOM. There are no shape templates included. Students trace actual shape attribute blocks that are in your room to create a monster. I find it helpful to model both games before allowing children to do it on their own.
*Disclaimer* PLEASE READ: Before purchasing this product, please note that the game can only work if it is printed in color. For example, each sheet contains different shapes, but they are in different colors, so the teacher would say: "I spy a red rectangle." Students must choose this one over the green one. The game does not work unless the copies are in color.
