Sometimes students need consistent partners to help them learn. Use these 3 different sets of shapes to assign partners.
The teacher can determine the partnerships or students can arrange their own. Once partnerships for been determined, cut out each sheet and tape them to each student’s desk. Using the shape name will help students memorize the shape since they will have to look at the shape to figure out which person is their partner.
For example, “Please work with your octagon partner for this assignment.” Students will look at the shapes to see who their octagon partner is.
When students need a new set of partners, use another set of shapes and start over.
