These task cards are designed to be used as a review or assessment tool during your study of basic flat and solid shapes. However, task cards are a very versatile resource, so feel free to pull from your own bag of tricks and have fun with them. Enjoy!
Whole Group/Small Group: Teacher reads each card to students and discusses answers as a group.
Extra Practice or Assessment: Teacher calls out card number and reads card. Students will write (or draw) their answers on numbered paper.

Basic Flat and Basic Solid Geometric Shapes (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon, rhombus/diamond, sphere, cube, cone, and cylinder.

Additional Blank Cards: Included for you to make cards for material you have covered, such as curved surfaces, edges, etc. Feel free to substitute the term “vertices” with “corners”, if needed. My grade level starts out with both, but focuses on the term “vertices” once our little ones understand that “vertices” is just a fancy name for a corner.
