FUN ways to explore shape attributes and shapes in the environment.
*Please note that if you have purchased my "Hello Winter" Math pack, you should NOT purchase this because you already have these geometry activities, books, etc. I had some requests for the geometry materials sold separately so I created this separate listing. If you also happen to be looking for addition/subtraction materials, patterns, and number sense activities in addition to geometry...you can check that out!*
This Shape it Up Pack Includes:
-"My Geometry Book" (in both color & B&W) that explains open vs. closed shapes, sides, corners (vertices), and allows students to mark them and record the number of each for 8 different shapes. There is also a place for students to draw their own shape on each page and draw an object in the environment that has that shape.
-"At First it Was a Shape" book *A PERSONAL FAVORITE* (in both color & B&W) that allows students to turn shapes into an object in the environment. For example: At first it was a circle...then it was a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
It is a great way to incorporate math and creative writing!
-3 "Draw me" independent practice activites/assessments (differentiated)
*also includes list of fabulous geometry books available for purchase on Amazon that I use during my geometry unit!*
