The following 36 cards can be used to check for understanding of identifying the shape of data. Three versions included.
Version 1: (p. 3-4)Print, laminate, and cut ahead of time for centers. Students should sort the cards into three piles, skewed left, skewed right, and symmetrical. The graphs in this version are already sorted correctly.
Version 2: (p. 5-6)Print and laminate ahead of time but ask students to help you cut them up. This is a great time saver if you have students who can cut straight! The graphs are scrambled so no need to worry about giving away the answers!
Version 3: (p. 7-10) Cut and paste worksheet. This version takes more paper but is a good option if you are wanting to collect to grade or assess understanding and have limited time in class. Alternatively, laminate the template version and use Velcro to be able to attach the cards in centers.
