2D and 3D Word Searches
There are two sets of word searches with pictures. Children look for the words in the grid.
They also look for a hidden shape word in the grid. A picture of the shape is shown.
Differentiated - Label 2D and 3D Shape Mix Worksheets
Children label the shapes. There is a word bank to help them write the names of the shapes.
Identifying and drawing 2D flat faces seen on 3D solid shapes
Children say the 3D shape aloud and then identify the 2D shape that is shaded on the solid.
Next, the children draw/sketch the 2D shape. They can practise using a ruler to obtain equal straight lines for the square and drawing straight lines in general.
2D and 3D Jigsaw Puzzle Match
These are cut and paste activities.
Children cut out one piece of the puzzle with a picture of a shape and glue it onto their worksheets or in workbooks. They then read the correct description for that shape which is written on another piece of puzzle. They cut out and glue the correct description opposite the first jigsaw piece so that the jigsaw pieces fit together.
