This unit was initially crafted for students who take the Virginia Alternate Assessment, but it is a great tool for special education, ESL/ELL, autism classes, and speech and language classrooms. Students learn their 4 basic shapes through a variety of hands-on activities. Students identify, sort, classify, and match the four basic shapes circle, square, rectangle and triangle. These activities are easy to adapt to any classroom, and the assessments have been leveled to meet individual student needs. Moreover, the assessments are editable so you can make them fit the individual learners needs and style for demonstrating proficiency with shapes.
The materials have been crafted to be age-appropriate for middle school but can be used by a wide variety of ages and grades.
