This PowerPoint game consists of five categories: Identifying 3-D Solids, 3-D Solids in Detail, Identifying 2-D Shapes, 2-D Shapes in Detail, and Trivia. The Identifying categories have an accompanying picture for each slide whereas the rest do not so that students are internally visualizing, as well (i.e. students will not always have a picture to refer to). Solids discussed in the PowerPoint include prisms, cylinders, pyramids, and cones. Shapes discussed include squares, rectangles, parallelograms, rhombuses, triangles, and circles. Faces, edges, and vertices are lightly covered. This PowerPoint is intended for an elementary audience in order for students to recognize solids and shapes as well as to have an understanding of basic characteristics of each. This presentation, since all questions have four answer choices, serves well for test preparation. Also, slides are set up so that they can be advanced in parts by the teacher in order to analyze what a question is asking (key words, etc.) before seeing the answer choices.
