Derived from Report Form by Project Read, this is a chart I created over various types of questions. Each column explains and gives examples of different types of questions (ex: multiple-choice, true/false, fill in the blank, open-ended). Key words are included in each column to show to the students which words signal each question type. The idea would be for students to pick out these key words so they are better prepared to answer questions on a test. With teacher guidance in the beginning, students will be able to check the depth of understanding by shaping questions that connect the parts to the whole, creating meaningful discussions. PDF file.
